Slainte Saunas Wild Atlantic Sauna

Came across this while looking around the local area. One of the best locations and wonderful harbour with pristine waters for a swim to cool down after the sauna.

Well equipped space (including changing room) but sadly the beach is a bit far from the sauna cabin (around 150m) so you'll get cold by the time you dive into the sea. 15 EUR for 30mn isn't expensive, but on the other hand time flies very fast, you'll barely have time for going twice to the water. I would still recommend the place for a 'quicky' but if you're after the true Finnish sauna experience, there are probably better places in Connemara for that.

Had a lovely experience driving from Kildare town out to the sauna. We went on the 2nd of January so we were hoping it was open (sometimes places don’t update google times accurately). I contacted the operators to confirm the booking and received a response quickly and got things cleared up. There is plenty of parking space near the sauna itself but also a car park down the road a little bit if that area is full. Book the hour. 10/10

Nothing beats a sauna on the edge of the beautiful Old Head! Love this place!

We had a fantastic time here today. John was super nice & the whole experience was top notch. It is such a brilliant experience with a view from the sauna to match no other! The sea is really close by so easy to dip in and out. We'll definitely be coming here on our next trip west!
