Oileanra Seaweed Baths and Sauna

Amazing experience! I’d never hopped on a barrel of seaweed and hot water before, but now I can’t wait to try it again - especially at Oileanra Seaweed Baths and Sauna! We luckily came across an advertisement for this during our trip around the island which - though fantastic - had left us quite drained from long drives and walks around Ireland’s magnificent landscapes. This sauna experience at sunset just west of Galway and Carraroe was the rejuvenating experience we didn’t realize we needed to continue our trip around the country. Only wish we’d known sooner to book twice! 10/10 highly recommend! (PS for those wondering - the seaweed did not smell at all. The sauna was a great temperature but come prepared and bring flip flops, towels and a swimsuit- can’t miss taking a cold dip in the sea as well!)

Best sauna experience in Ireland!!imo Everything is closeby - parking/changing area/sea access/ even coffee and warm freshwater outdoor shower. What more could you ask for in such a serene beautiful location!!

Great sauna with lovely views - it is spotlessly clean and the owners are very friendly! We also were lucky enough to try the new seaweed baths and they were amazing - if you are in the area, definitely stop by! Skin felt so soft afterwards

Really lovely Iocation, plenty of windows to see the beautiful view! Great barrels for plunging, especially good if not coming at high tide as sea slightly harder to access! Had hot showers! Will be back again for high tide for sure! Noel the owner was lovely

A wonderful experience in a beautiful, peaceful location. Being able to enjoy a sea swim before and after the sauna and seaweed bath is a brilliant bonus. Friendly host too. We will visit again.
